Georgia-Pacific, Sherwood Lumber Expand to Pittsburgh market

gpGeorgia-Pacific Engineered Lumber and Sherwood Lumber Company have announced that Sherwood will begin distributing Georgia-Pacific’s full line of engineered lumber products into the Pittsburgh market.

“We are pleased to expand the availability of our engineered wood products category to our customers in northeast,” said Paul Watterson, general manager for Georgia-Pacific Engineered Lumber. “Sherwood Lumber is a company that has a lot of experience selling a full complement of dimensional framing lumber, as well as specialty building products, and we look forward to working with them.”

Sherwood Lumber currently supplies the full line of Georgia-Pacific engineered lumber products, including Wood I Beam™ joists, GP Lam® LVL and FiberStrong® rim board, to eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, eastern New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.

“Our growth with Georgia-Pacific into the Pittsburgh area with engineered lumber shows our commitment to housing in this region,” said David Gaudreau, vice president of sales for Sherwood Lumber. “With an extensive customer base and the support of a well-recognized and respected brand like Georgia-Pacific, Sherwood will be able to further provide customers with a diversified, value added product mix.”
