Hallenbeck Takes on CEO Role at Tibbetts

Tibbetts Lumber Co.Russ Hallenbeck, a 28-year veteran with the Tibbetts family, was selected to succeed Juan Quesada as chief executive officer. On March 31, 2015, Quesada, a resident of the Tampa Bay area, retired after 36 devoted years to the Tibbetts family as president of Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC and Cox Lumber Ltd.

Juan joined the former Cox Lumber Co. in 1979 after 14 previous years in the industry. During his time with the company Juan held the positions of regional manager, vice president, sr. executive vice president, and finally and most recently president. In addition to his long-standing career at Tibbetts, Juan was on the Board for the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce with the Tampa chapter and is an active member of the Knights of Columbus in his Catholic Church.  Juan also served on the Board of Directors of Fifth Third Bank, North Florida affiliate and also on the Boards of Tibbetts Lumber Co. and Cox Lumber Ltd.

Russ, who has been with Cox Lumber Co. and Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC for 28 years, has been named the CEO and director for Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC and Cox Lumber Ltd.  Russ started his career with Cox Lumber Co.  in 1987.  He was promoted to many positions including unit manager, regional sales manager, and vice president. Russ most recently served as sr. vice president.
