A common concern among LBM dealers, and the most-submitted topic in LBM Journal’s Real Issues. Real Answers. column is how to deal with the lack of available talent in today’s workforce, and how to construct a work environment that attracts not only staff with the right kind of building industry experience, but also millennials with the thirst for technology that is needed to keep current and to move our industry forward.

This year’s LBM Strategies Conference takes place at the Omni Hotel in Frisco, Texas (home of the Dallas Cowboys) on Sept. 6-8. Conference attendees will hear from LBM dealers who have made their companies Best Places to Work in their respective regions, who will share what they have done to attract and retain great team members.
