White Paper: Stop Wasting Your Employees’ Time! Automate Routine Tasks Using Modern Tech

Investing in new technology is a cost-effective and scalable way to get the most value from your staff and drive efficiency throughout your organization. By removing low-value or redundant tasks from your operation, you can get more done with the same workforce. Your staff will be able to focus on activities that help your business grow, rather than getting bogged down in busywork that wastes valuable time.

Marcus Lumber first opened in 1920 after Roger T. Leavitt of Marcus acquired the existing lumber and coal business. Roger guided the business for many years eventually making way for his two sons, Roger E and John Leavitt to take over the business. It was during this tenure that Marcus Lumber moved office locations and expanded its operations to neighboring communities. In the 80’s the third generation of family ownership started in the business growing and expanding its service area to all of Northwest Iowa. In 2005 Marcus Lumber moved into its present day 18,000 square foot showroom which was built a block away from the original office location in 1920. Now with its 4th generation of family members involved in the business.

Marcus Lumber is proud to celebrate this significant anniversary while welcoming the future years ahead.

Bob Leavitt of Marcus Lumber is a third generation family owner of who has worked in the business for 40 years. When reflecting on the past, Leavitt said, “While much has changed since the beginning, we are still a customer first minded service business. We still sell quality items and offer very dependable service. We are still committed to giving back to our local communities and very happy to be celebrating our 95th Anniversary with all the people who supported us through the years.”
