Universal Stair Bracket System from GoPro™ Construction
Universal-Stair-Bracket-SystemThe GoPro universal stair bracket system is said to be the only system with brackets that have imprinted scale markings indicating the staircase rise and run. Thus, properly attaching the brackets according to the pre-determined rise and run of each stair is a snap. The system starts with 2×6’s, which are screwed to the brackets using the imprinted scale markings. A mistake requires only unscrewing and repositioning the bracket, which eliminates waste. Manufactured from 16-gauge G-185 hot-dipped steel, the system resists warping and splitting, and is described as being sturdier than traditional staircases. According to the company, the result is stronger, and it saves time and money on the installation.

Maze Double Hot Dipped Galvanized Nails
Double-Hot-Dipped-Galvanized-NailsDouble-dipped in molten zinc, Maze STORMGUARD® “P.T.L.”® (for Pressure Treated Lumber) Nails are available in ring or spiral shank and both hand drive and collated sticks for easy application. Made in the U.S.A. —like all Maze products— “P.T.L.” nails are made from stiffer stock steel so the shanks can be smaller in diameter to help reduce wood splitting without bending. They’re also available in stainless steel for coastal applications. Producers of treated lumber and many building codes often specify hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel nails because of their rust-free performance.
