R.P. Lumber Expanding to 60th Location

R.P. Lumber of Illinois is expanding to Moberly, Ill., according to the Moberly Monitor-Index. The company currently has 59 locations primarily in Illinois, but also in R.P. LumberMissouri. The Moberly store, a full-service lumberyard, will be the company’s 60th. Jason Plummer, vice president of R.P. Lumber, told the Monitor-Index that the company plans to open the store in May. It will begin operations with 10 employees.

R.P. Lumber was founded by Robert L. Plummer in January, 1977, in Staunton, Ill., according to the company’s website. Along with 59 locations, the company also operates a truss plant.
