Question 1
In order to gauge how many other readers are wrestling with the issue of future leadership, we asked the following question:
Having the right people in place is critical to a company’s success. Which of the following are you concerned about finding as your company moves forward? Please check ALL that apply.
Clearly, LBM Journal readers are concerned about filling positions at all levels— from general yard workers to future company leaders. Since nothing happens until a sale is made, it’s no big surprise that the largest percentage of respondents (61.4%) are most concerned with finding outside salespeople. Still, with 49.1% of respondents expressing concern about future company leadership, there’s little doubt readers are looking to secure their company’s long-term prospects.
Answers from the 8.7% who checked “Other” include managers, AR/AP clerks and general office, installers and laborers, and “All of the above.”
