White Paper: 5 Benefits of Mobile Technology for LBM Businesses

Progressive LBM businesses are leveraging mobility solutions to empower their employees. Cashiers and other frontline workers, traditionally underserved with digital access, are becoming increasingly important to their businesses as mobility becomes the new norm. These businesses use mobility to drive competitive advantages and increase market share.

Specialty: Kitchen, master suite and room additions.

Q: In order of importance, what are the top three things you look for from a supplier?
1. Customer Service
2. Dependability
3. Price

Q: Describe your best LBM vendor and why they are the best.
A: Owen Lumber in Lee’s Summit, Mo. The guys at Owen are always willing to go above and beyond for our needs and try to exceed our expectations. They offer great customer service and are very reliable on delivery times.

Q: When was the last time you changed vendors & why?
A: Two years ago, we left Owen Lumber for a few projects and found that the other supplier was not able to meet the needs of a full service remodeler. We have been using Owen Lumber since they have the ability to handle all of our needs.

Q: When and why would you accept a meeting from a new supplier/vendor?
A: If our customer service began to fall off or we felt that the reliability was beginning to fail, then we would consider looking elsewhere. I would always give a current supplier a chance to fix the problem before we left. If the quality and service stays at a high level, then we will stay with them.

Q: What building products (if any) do you buy installed?
A: We install all products within the company.
