Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. Names New President

Dubuque, Iowa. — Spahn & Rose Lumber Co. announced has appointed industry veteran David C. Davis as its President effective March 13.

Davis comes to Spahn & Rose from The Bostwick-Braun Company in Toledo, Ohio. Davis joined Bostwick in 2008 as vice president, merchandising and has served as their corporate vice president, supply chain since 2013.

Davis began his career with True Value Hardware and served in several roles there, including corporate director of retail development, corporate director of marketing and vice president, sales and marketing. Following his service at True Value, he served as vice president, merchandising & marketing for the family-owned Aubuchon Hardware chain of retail stores headquartered in Westminster, Mass.

“After an extensive search, the board feels Dave has the qualities we seek in a president and the board is very pleased that Dave accepted our offer,” board chair James E. Altman said. “We believe Dave has the integrity, experience, leadership and business acumen to help Spahn & Rose continue to grow and prosper.”

Davis said he is honored by the appointment. “Spahn & Rose is highly respected in the home improvement industry.  Trust, honor and integrity are the foundation of their business and I am honored and excited to have been chosen to lead them.”
