Do it Best Corp. holds fall market in Indianapolis

Do it Best Corp. member-owners took part in the company’s Forest Products Update at the October fall market.

 

FORT WAYNE, Ind.– An array of purchasing opportunities and growth oriented programs were featured at the Do it Best Corp. fall market Oct. 12-15 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

The fall market is designed to help Do it Best members, including many new and prospective members, explore the value of a co-op partnership.

The fall market spotlighted numerous product categories, programs and services to drive member profitability, as well as opportunities for members to network, connect and discuss best practices. The market kicks off with Friday’s Education Day, which offered free training sessions delivered by subject matter experts . Friday’s Power Preview provided members exclusive first looks at the latest in outdoor power equipment, outdoor cooking and backyard lifestyle products. And the LBM Industry Update presented information on the best LBM purchasing strategies and market deals.

Friday afternoon’s Market Kickoff featured company leaders sharing the co-op’s enthusiastic vision for enhancing store performance, as well as a keynote from entrepreneur “Johnny Cupcakes,” who shared the unconventional and inspiring insights he’s used to help take his successful business nationwide.

Friday night’s Sneak Peek offered special buying opportunities from select vendors. Weekend highlights included Saturday’s Merchandising Preview and the KC & The Sunshine Band concert. Special featured speaker training sessions occur on both Saturday and Sunday.

At Sunday’s Member & Vendor Excellence Awards, the year’s top vendors and members were recognized. The annual Shareholders’ Meeting on Sunday evening marks the 15th consecutive year that Do it Best member rebates have exceeded $100 million. Six members will receive rebates above $1 million each, with one member earning a rebate in excess of $2.6 million.

“Our drive to be the best by fueling our members’ continued growth has never been stronger,” Starr added. “And we believe our members will experience that drive and the many opportunities available to them for the year ahead at the fall market.”
