EDCO Products, Inc. Reorganizes Sales and Marketing Roles

“Today we are announcing a new Sales and Marketing organization that will expand on the rich tradition of innovation, quality, and service we are renown for while at the same time provide us with the necessary platform that will allow us to capitalize on the significant growth opportunities we see before us” said Eric Lindquist, EDCO’s President and CEO. “The future is very bright for EDCO and our customers, and today we are taking the necessary steps to secure that future,” he said.

Hired as the new Director of Sales & Marketing is industry newcomer, Chris Doucet, who spent the past 17 years working in various Sales, Distribution, and Marketing roles with another Minnesota-based company, Polaris Industries. “Chris comes to EDCO with an extremely impressive track record of developing new distribution, launching new and market-disruptive products, creating brand awareness, and most importantly, developing high performing and talented teams,” said Lindquist.

“I am honored to have been chosen to lead the Sales & Marketing organization at EDCO,” said Doucet. “EDCO’s impressive track record over the past 70 years speaks for itself. Moving forward, I believe there are significant growth opportunities through distribution expansion, new and exciting product innovations, as well as targeted marketing campaigns.”

As part of the reorganization, industry veterans Derek Fischer and Steve Knudson have been promoted to the role of Regional Sales Manager for Eastern U.S. and Western U.S. respectively. They will lead their teams of Business Development Managers to expand sales through the execution of in-store sales programs, product training programs, as well as identifying and securing new distribution opportunities in their markets.

Steve Spaulding, who spent the last 12 years as EDCO’s Service Manager, has been promoted to the role of Product Manager. In this role, Steve will be responsible for EDCO’s product plan across all categories, ensuring that EDCO continues to exceed our customers’ demands by bringing innovative new products to market.

Hired as the new Marketing Manager is Kristi Peterson, who comes to EDCO having spent the past 9 years as the Marketing Manager for Xerxes Corporation. Developing the brand strategy, connecting with consumers, increasing brand awareness, and driving consumer demand for both EDCO and our partners will be the major objectives of this role.

Dean Karlsen has been promoted to the role of Customer Support Manager. Karlsen has been working in Customer Support with roles of increasing responsibility for the past 16 years. In this role, he will be responsible for the effective management of our Customer Support teams in Hopkins, Eagan, and Otsego.

Finally, Brad Newell has accepted the newly created position of Product Training Manager. In this role, Newell will use his 38 years of exemplary service at EDCO to develop training programs intended to provide distributors, dealers, architects, builders, remodelers, and contractors with the necessary tools to sell and install our products.
