Phil Garner has joined Westech as the North America Senior Technical Builder and Architect Representative. Garner most recently was with Georgia Pacific in the DensGlass division.
Garner has a history of market pioneering, he said. His specialty is “taking advanced products and injecting them into the market as soon as possible.”
He’ll fill the same role at Westech, he said. “They have a fantastic product that is in its infancy in this market. My goal is to get a strong foothold an to educate the market.”
Garner started his role at Westech in January of this year.
According to Westech’s website, the firm began “in 1979 as Engineered Profiles Ltd. In 1983, the first fullywelded casement window system was designed and offered to window fabricators. As the market conditions dictated new systems were added to meet the growing demands for maintenance-free, energy-efficient, vinyl windows. In 1994, a vinyl fence program was developed and promoted under the Westech Building Products banner. Westech has since developed many innovative product lines that have become the benchmark for product quality and performance in the fence, deck and railing industry. Both the fence and window divisions now operate under the Westech Building Products,a Westlake Chemical company.”
