New Deck Colors From AZEK®
CPG Building Products’ AZEK has introduced new deck colors. AZEK capped polymer decking will now be available in four new colors from the Harvest and Arbor Collections. In the Harvest Collection, new colors include Island Oak, a mid-gray tone, and Autumn Chestnut, a medium brown shade with highlights. The Arbor Collection has added Brazilian Walnut, a variegated brown color, and Mountain Redwood, a red with brown influence. AZEK also announced Alloy Armour Technology™ for its deck product line. Alloy Armour Technology is a proprietary alloy formulation that allows AZEK to offer a 30-year fade and stain limited warranty along with an existing lifetime limited warranty.

Buffalo Forge Steel Composite Premium Doors from GlassCraft
GlassCraft Door Company has unveiled the Buffalo Forge Steel Composite doors, said to combine the strength of steel and the jobsite flexibility of composite. The energy-efficient doors are designed to be field-trimmed for an exact fit, and are said to cost 50% less than other premium steel doors. GlassCraft’s Steel Composite doors utilize 18 gauge steel featuring all composite edges, and a patented BioFoam core. The doors are available in a three-design collection: Solid 2 Panel, Contemporary, and Wrought Iron with six finish options and multiple sizes.

SDWS Framing Screw from Simpson Strong-Tie
Simpson Strong-Tie has expanded its Strong-Drive® line of fasteners to include the SDWS Framing screw, a multipurpose fastener designed and load-rated for replacing nails in framing and remodeling applications. The SDWS Framing screw is marketed as an alternative to 16d, 10d and 8d nails for contractors and DIYers. The screws are said to be suited for areas too constrained for the use of a hammer, or where there is a need for the pullout resistance of screws. The SDWS Framing screws meet 2009 and 2012 IRC and IBC codes. Key features include a SawTooth™ Type-17 point with serrated threads and Quik Guard® coating. Screws are available in commonly used 2½” and 3″ lengths.

FLOOD® Pro Series Stain from PPG Architectural Coatings
The new FLOOD Pro Series line is said to incorporate the latest advances from PPG’s global wood care technology. The products range from transparent to opaque, as well as prep products and a new re-surfacer. This line utilizes an extensive color platform, which includes a collection of 40 semi-transparent and more than 120 opaque hues.
