Kodiak Building Partners acquires Builders Millwork
Kodiak Building Partners has acquired Builders Millwork, Inc., a producer and supplier of millwork in the upper Midwest markets, including custom made architectural wood doors, trim, finish hardware, and hollow metal doors. Builders Millwork, which was founded in 1975, will continue to be led by Jerry Jehn who has owned the company since 2002. The company will be part of the Lumber and Building Materials Group at Kodiak Building Partners under the leadership of Pat and Mike Flood.
“Builders Millwork is a strong and respected player in the upper Midwest markets for custom millwork. We are excited to add Jerry’s team to our growing organization, alongside the other LBM operations in the Kodiak family. Expansion of our millwork capabilities is an important component of our growth strategy and the BMI team helps to further our efforts in this segment,” said Steve Swinney, CEO of Kodiak.
Jerry Jehn, owner of Builders Millwork, said that “It has been great getting to know the Kodiak team and understanding their decentralized approach with all of their operating companies. Kodiak’s involvement with BMI will provide new opportunities for expansion and continued success. We look forward to working with Kodiak and are confident in a very positive outlook for all parties involved.”
“The acquisition of BMI represents our entry into the upper Midwest and furthers our expansion into the millwork segment. We are excited to partner with Jerry and his talented team at BMI to continue their strong record of success and further Kodiak’s geographic expansion,” said Matt Lascola, Vice President of Corporate Development of Kodiak. “As with all of the other companies in the Kodiak family, Jerry will continue to run his organization within a very decentralized culture that we have cultivated and continue to support.”
