Mo. Lumberyard Marks 100 Years

Bremer Hardware & Lumber of Bourbon, Mo. will celebrate 100 years of service at an open house celebration Oct. 3.

The business started in 1915 when farmer Joseph Bremer traded his farm outside of Bourbon for a hardware store downtown, reports the Sullivan Independent. Bremer added lumber to the business and the rest is history in Bourbon, Mo. Alice Bremer and her son Randy now run the store, along with Randy’s sons Justin and Marcus and cousin Wesley, making five generations to have worked at the store.

Bremer Hardware & Lumber recently shared the photo below on the company’s Facebook page.
