GREEN BAY, Wisc.—U.S. LBM Holdings, LLC (“U.S. LBM”) has announced that Dale Carlson has been named vice president of Operations for the company. Carlson had spent the past thirty years with the Minnesota-based Lyman Companies, a division of U.S. LBM, where he had been president since 2011. Tim Liester has succeeded Carlson as president of the Lyman Companies.
In this newly created role, Carlson is responsible for strategic planning and analysis to support the continued market growth of U.S. LBM’s 26 divisions. Carlson will report to Jeff Umosella, COO of U.S. LBM and president of Universal Supply Company.
“Dale brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to this new role,” said Umosella. “His leadership and expertise will help further the growth of our divisions and allow us to continue to improve the sharing of best practices across the company.”
Carlson started with the Lyman Companies in 1985 and held a number of leadership positions within the building supply company, including senior vice president, overseeing their Midwest and West Coast operations, vice president of the Twin City Builder Operations and general manager of Lyman Lumber in Chanhassen, Minn. The Lyman Companies joined U.S. LBM in 2011.
