WM. B Morse Lumber Acquires Rochester Lumber

wmbmorselumber-webRochester, NY — The William B. Morse Lumber Company today announced it will acquire Rochester Lumber Company as of Dec. 31.

William B. Morse Lumber Company, a member of the LBM Century Club, is a fifth-generation family owned company that has served the greater Rochester market since 1853. Rochester Lumber is a 107-year-old family business with locations in Rochester, East Rochester, and Farmington.

Walter Morse, President of Morse Lumber, said “Our two companies are a great fit both culturally and operationally. The synergy that this uniting will allow us to bring an even higher level of service to our customers”

Rochester Lumber’s inventory will be absorbed and delivered out of a Morse Lumber location, and Rochester Lumber’s East Rochester location will remain open as a building supply and hardware source.

Windows, doors, stairs, and millwork products will be rolled into and delivered out of Morse Sash & Door in Henrietta, NY. The Rochester Lumber truss operation in Farmington, N.Y. will remain open under a new ownership and NextGen Building Components will be a wholesale supplier of roof trusses and panelized walls.
